French renewable energy company GreenYellow will deliver 16.28 MWp of solar power plants to Brazilian energy firm Matrix Energia, it announced recently.
Under the terms of the contract, GreenYellow will invest, build, and be in charge of the operation and maintenance (O&M) of three photovoltaic (PV) parks under Brazil’s share distributed generation (DG) model in the states of Goias, Piaui, and Ceara.
The new renewable energy portfolio will be capable of generating 34.9 GWh of clean electricity per year, enough to allow Matrix Energia to meet the demand of 2,900 clients and cover around 645 municipalities.
Rafael Moreira, commercial director of Matrix Energia, noted that the company plans to have more than 500 MW of DG capacity under its control this year alone.
