Enea has obtained funding support through Poland’s National Recovery Plan (KPO) for 268 MW of solar park projects, advancing renewable energy development in Poland.
The financing will support the development of multiple photovoltaic projects, adding new renewable generation capacity as Poland continues efforts to diversify its energy mix and accelerate its transition toward lower-carbon electricity generation.
Poland has traditionally relied heavily on coal-based power generation, but recent years have seen increasing investment in renewable technologies, particularly solar and wind. Support mechanisms and public funding programs have played an important role in enabling new projects and attracting additional investment into the sector.
Large-scale funding initiatives such as KPO are increasingly being used to accelerate infrastructure deployment, helping reduce financial barriers for renewable development while supporting broader economic and energy transition objectives. Such funding can provide greater visibility for project implementation and strengthen long-term development pipelines.
For Enea, the funding award adds momentum to its renewable energy portfolio expansion strategy as energy companies continue adapting to evolving market conditions and decarbonization requirements.
The development also reflects broader trends across Central and Eastern Europe, where renewable deployment has accelerated amid rising energy security concerns, changing market dynamics, and increased policy support for clean energy investments.
As Poland continues modernizing its power system, solar development is expected to remain an important contributor to future electricity supply diversification and emissions reduction efforts.
