Gstar Solar to build 2GW module assembly plant in UAE

Gstar Solar, Singapore-based solar manufacturer, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the UAE’s Siraj Group to build a 2GW solar module assembly plant in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This project marks Gstar’s entry into the Middle East market, focusing on high-efficiency N-type solar technology.

Construction is set to begin in November. Gstar Chairman Wang Yang stated, “This partnership is a crucial step in advancing Gstar’s global integrated supply chain and expanding our footprint in the Middle East.”

Siraj Group, part of the Al Otaiba Group of Companies, brings extensive experience in solar project financing and asset management. Leveraging its understanding of the Middle Eastern market, Siraj will play a key role in advancing the project.

The collaboration aims to utilize local markets and resources, boosting Gstar’s presence in the region. The UAE’s abundant sunlight and commitment to net-zero emissions by 2050 support Gstar’s growth. The country’s role as a trade hub between Europe, Asia, and Africa further enhances Gstar’s global expansion.
