ib vogt, a leading international solar developer, has agreed to sell a 66 MWp solar PV project to MOL Group in Hungary.
Located in Ballószög, Bács-Kiskun County, the solar farm is expected to begin operations in Q1 2025, marking ib vogt’s first project in Hungary and expanding its footprint in Central and Eastern Europe.
The solar farm will help Hungary achieve its ambitious goal of producing 90% of its electricity from carbon-free sources by 2030. Utilizing cutting-edge bifacial modules with a single-axis tracking system, the project is expected to generate enough energy to power approximately 20,000 households annually, while offsetting over 20,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year.
Anton Milner, CEO of ib vogt, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We’re thrilled to collaborate with MOL Group to advance their renewable energy ambitions. This project is a major milestone for ib vogt as we continue to expand our clean energy solutions across the globe.”
The project, which ib vogt developed, will also see the company provide engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services, along with operations and maintenance (O&M) once complete. Throughout the sales process, ib vogt was advised by Finergreen (financial advisor) and Dentons (legal advisor).
