New Delhi — ACME Solar Holdings announced on Monday that it has placed an order for over 3.1 GWh of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) from Zhejiang Narada and Trina Energy, aiming to secure high-efficiency and scalable storage solutions.
This order represents one of the largest BESS procurements in India to date, supporting ACME’s upcoming Firm & Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) and battery-linked projects scheduled for rollout over the next 12 to 18 months across several Indian states.
The systems will be delivered in phases over the next four to eight months of the current fiscal year. The company noted that the order value remains within budget, ensuring capital efficiency while maintaining a focus on technical performance and supplier reliability.
Early procurement is expected to speed up project execution and enable faster revenue realization. The equipment complies with international safety and performance standards, including IEC and UL certifications.
This move further reinforces ACME’s strategy to accelerate clean energy adoption and improve grid stability in India’s fast-growing renewable energy landscape.
ACME Solar manages a diversified portfolio totaling 6,970 MW and 550 MWh across solar, wind, battery storage, FDRE, and hybrid solutions. Of this, 2,890 MW is operational, with another 4,080 MW under development.
