Innova has successfully energised the 28MW Elms Farm solar project located in Warwickshire, England.
This significant development marks a milestone for Innova and its joint venture, ISG Renewables, established with Schroders Greencoat. Elms Farm is the third operational solar array in the partnership's growing renewable energy portfolio.
The project follows Innova's earlier successes in 2024, with the 23MW Bicker Fen in Lincolnshire and the 28MW Stokeford in Dorset already brought online this year.
Key milestones in the project:
Planning permission for Elms Farm was granted in August 2022.
Construction began in 2023, leveraging Innova's refined delivery model for efficiency and reliability.
The site will deliver renewable electricity to Anglian Water under a 15-year corporate power purchase agreement (PPA) signed last month, further supporting the water utility’s sustainability goals.
Innova project delivery director Gordon Pope said: “Elms Farm is the model of how Innova plans to deliver our solar DNO pipeline going forward.
“The site follows our new delivery processes of early engagement and full design with our supply chain, prior to any works starting on site. With partners at GEMEC and DNOC engaging in this process this has culminated in a seamless construction build, on time and on budget. The supply chain and our internal team, led by our project manager Sara Vidal Clemares, should be proud of this result.”
