The Acting Minister of Energy and Water, Mullah Abdul Latif Mansoor, met with representatives from GSP and Aklatash companies to discuss potential investments in Afghanistan’s energy sector.

During the meeting, the companies expressed their interest in investing in projects aimed at generating 900 megawatts of electricity from solar, wind, and hydropower sources across Afghanistan.

They also highlighted their commitment to expanding the country’s electricity transmission infrastructure and cooperating with the Ministry on updating and developing the energy sector’s master plan.

Meanwhile, Mullah Mansoor welcomed the companies’ investment interest and assured them of the Ministry’s full cooperation in facilitating the necessary conditions for these projects.

He stressed the importance of accelerating coordination to advance these initiatives, noting that Afghanistan possesses ample resources for electricity generation, which would benefit both investors and the Afghan people.
