MSpectrum And Excelitas Technologies Forge Partnership For Solar Energy Project In Cabuyao

MSpectrum Inc., a solar subsidiary wholly owned by the Manila Electric Company (Meralco), has announced a partnership with the local unit of US-based Excelitas Technologies Corporation for a significant solar project in Laguna. This collaboration aims to advance renewable energy adoption in the region.

Under the agreement, MSpectrum will install a 116 kilowatt-peak (kWp) solar facility at Excelitas Technologies Philippines, Inc.’s manufacturing site in Cabuyao. Scheduled for completion in December 2024, this solar installation is projected to generate approximately 165,998 kWh of clean energy annually.

The renewable energy produced by the solar facility will enable Excelitas to significantly reduce its carbon footprint by an estimated 751 metric tons. This reduction is equivalent to planting more than 5,430 trees and cutting down over 470,000 kilometers in vehicle travel each year.
