Neosun Energy, a global leader in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) for solar energy solutions, has announced the successful completion of a significant solar project in KwaZulu-Natal. This marks the company’s latest achievement following the recent expansion with two new branches in South Africa, aimed at supporting local businesses with sustainable energy solutions.
The project, a rooftop solar installation at the Blue Ocean Dive Resort, features an on-grid system comprised of over 100 solar panels, delivering a total capacity of 58 kW. The installation is expected to generate more than 88 MWh of electricity annually, significantly reducing the resort’s reliance on conventional energy sources.
“This installation is expected to cut the resort’s electricity bills by around 55%. With the addition of a battery storage solution, savings could increase to 70-80%,” said Hervé Nsumba, Senior Electrical Engineer at Neosun Energy.
The expansion and successful project completion underscore Neosun Energy’s commitment to driving the adoption of solar energy across South Africa, contributing to the nation’s renewable energy goals.
