
Nomad Electric has secured its first contract in Europe with a total capacity of 45MWp.
The contract has been finalized on the Iberian Peninsula which will undertake EPC of utility-scale solar plants in Portugal.
According to the company, the project consists of 24MWp utility-scale farms which use tracker technology and 21MWp on fixed structures. Currently, the installations are being constructed in the Pinhal, Santarém, Marmeleiro, and Alentejo regions.
It further informed that around 80,000 photovoltaic modules will be installed in the site spread across 80 hectares.
Nomad Electric business development director Izabela Mielniczuk was quoted in a statement, "Entering the Portuguese PV market was challenging, yet we are confident that the high quality of our EPC and O&M services will secure increasing investor trust and strengthen our market position.”
Furthermore, Izabela added, "This contract is a significant milestone in our company's international expansion. Nomad Electric currently has an EPC portfolio of approximately 420MWp and is actively contracting additional projects on the Iberian Peninsula.
The company also plans to expand its operations into Germany and Italy.
After the construction, the company will start providing technical operation and maintenance services for the installations, it stated.
