Opengy, a company specialized in new solutions for the supply and management of renewable electrical energy for companies, has carried out in recent months the construction and energization of three photovoltaic self-consumption facilities for the Aquaclean textile group in Alcoy and Muro de Alcoy (Alicante) .
In total, 1,551 photovoltaic modules have been installed, totaling a power of 694 kWp. The estimated joint production is almost 1,000 MWh/year, the equivalent of the consumption of almost 350 medium-sized homes in Spain.
These three photovoltaic installations will cover approximately 13% of the electrical consumption of the warehouses, and will mean savings on the invoice of said warehouses of more than 15%.
Opengy thus continues to consolidate its role as a driver of the energy transition within the Spanish textile sector, where it has already participated in the installation, engineering and/or technical-economic feasibility studies of a broad portfolio of projects that, added to the rest of the track record of the company, reaches 180 MW.
