Renewables developer Pacifico Energy KK has secured the majority of allocated capacity in the latest 12th solar tender.
The Japanese government has chosen five solar photovoltaic projects in its latest tender. The projects had a total capacity of 128.94 MW.
Out of these, Pacifico Energy won more than half of the capacity allocation.
According to the company, it secured a 76.8-MW project. The solar park will be located in Yamaguchi prefecture. The park will begin operations in 2027.
For the project, it had offered a tariff of JPY 9.86 (USD 0.073/EUR 0.070) per kWh. Pacifico informed that for the first time, it had a bid price below JPY 10 per kWh.
Besides Pacifico Energy, other winners are X-Elio19 LLC, AC19 LLC, JAG Energy Co Ltd and electronics and DMM.
