Renewables developer PNE has been successful with three projects totalling 26.4 MW in Germany’s latest tender for onshore wind power capacity.
The Cuxhaven, Germany-based company has secured tariffs for all projects submitted in the competitive round held by the Federal Network Agency.
The three wind farms are planned to become operational at the end of the year. The largest one of them, the 13.2-MWOdensachsen, will be built in the central German state of Hesse, while a 7.2-MW plant called Zinndorf will start spinning its turbines in Brandenburg state, northeastern Germany. The smallest plant, with a capacity of 6 MW, will be located in the country’s northernmost state of Schleswig-Holstein and will be called Stuvenborn.
Germany allocated contracts to 129 projects with a combined capacity of 1,795 MW submitted in a 2.5-GW tender for onshore wind turbine capacity. Projects in the competitive round were awarded at tariffs of between EUR 0.0725 (USD 0.0765) per kWh and EUR 0.0735 per kWh.
