French power producer Reden Solar SAS has teamed up with Milan-based Energy 4 Synergy SpA (E4SY) to jointly develop and install a portfolio of at least 300 MWp of projects in Puglia, southern Italy.
The three-year partnership agreement will see the companies deploy the capacity in three phases of 100 MWp per year, Reden said on Friday. The duo will seek to complete all projects by the end of 2027.
Under the arrangement, E4SY will take care of all technical and environmental studies, as well as administrative procedures with relevant authorities. Reden’s task will be to manage the construction, maintenance and operation of the photovoltaic (PV) parks.
The solar farms’ output will either be sold under tenders held by Italian energy system operator GSE or under power purchase agreements (PPA).
For Reden, the partnership with E4SY is seen as an opportunity for the French firm to expand its business in Italy and enhance its co-development strategy, taking advantage of the “high potential” in that market. Reden has been operating on the Italian market since end-2021 and now has over 312 MWp of projects at the latest stage of development or under construction, plus a pipeline totalling 500 MW.
