reNIKOLA Signs 30-Year PPA for 363MW Solar Project in Sarawak
Malaysian renewable energy company reNIKOLA has announced that its subsidiary, reNIKOLA Gedong Solar (Sarawak), has signed a 30-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Syarikat Sesco Bhd for a planned utility-scale solar project in Sarawak.
The project will be developed in Gedong, in Sarawak’s Simunjan district, and is expected to require an investment of approximately RM1 billion.

The planned solar facility will install up to 363MW of solar panel capacity and is designed to generate up to 250MW of electricity for the power grid.
Syarikat Sesco Bhd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sarawak Energy Bhd.
The long-term PPA provides the contractual framework for the development of the project and represents a significant investment in Sarawak’s solar generation capacity.
