SolarEdge Joins European Solar Energy Charter for Manufacturing Support

SolarEdge Technologies, a leading global provider of smart energy technology, has announced its participation in the European Commission’s European Solar Energy Charter. This charter aims to bolster support for the European photovoltaic manufacturing sector.


SolarEdge joined a consortium of companies within the European solar energy industry in signing the charter, alongside 23 European Union (EU) Energy Ministers. The signing ceremony, held in Brussels on April 15th, saw the signatories pledge their commitment to ensuring a resilient supply chain for high-quality solar PV products in Europe.


Alfred Karlstetter, SolarEdge’s General Manager for Europe, emphasized the company’s role as a premium manufacturer and provider of optimized inverter solutions that enhance the harvesting and management of power in photovoltaic systems. He underscored SolarEdge’s strategic partnership with the EU and its contribution to diversifying and strengthening the region’s solar PV product supply chains. Karlstetter highlighted SolarEdge’s positive impact on EU competitiveness, sustainability, and job creation, as well as its alignment with the EU’s energy and climate objectives.


Signing the European Solar Energy Charter reflects SolarEdge’s firm commitment to supporting the EU’s green transition and promoting the accelerated and widespread adoption of solar energy throughout Europe.
