
Solar power developer Sonnedix has concluded the acquisition of a 118MW portfolio of PV projects in Italy.
The company acquired the portfolio from Graziella Holding and others.
It has been reported that this portfolio includes two solar PV projects. One is Sonnedix Cagliari of 69.5MW and next is Sonnedix Nuoro of 48.3MW.
Both these PV projects are based on the island of Sardinia. The projects are at the ready-to-build stage.
“This acquisition demonstrates our long-term commitment to the Italian market. It’s a very exciting moment in the industry, and we have all intentions to become a true leader in this transition, expanding our presence in the country, and across other OECD markets,” Axel Thiemann, CEO of Sonnedix was quoted.
The projects are likely to start operations by the second half of 2023 and the first half of 2024.
According to Sonnedix, it has a total capacity of over 1.6GW in Italy, including plants in operation and under development.
