Spanish renewable energy platform Bruc said that it has grid-connected its Aguasvivas solar farm, powering up a 55-MW plant it built in Spain’s region of Aragon.
Located in Zaragoza province as at site spanning 97 hectares (239.7 acres), Aguasvivas will be capable of generating around 96.4 GWh of electricity annually, or enough to meet electricity consumption needs of 24,500 homes each year.
The latest project is part of a 4,900-MW portfolio that Bruc is developing in Aragon. The firm said it currently has 331 MW in operation in Zaragoza province, installed in municipalities that run the risk of depopulation.
Bruc has set the target in its strategic plan to roll out 8,000 MW of renewable energy in Spain.
