Chinese photovoltaic (PV) inverter and energy storage system provider Sungrow Power Supply Co Ltd on Wednesday said it has delivered the first units of its PowerTitan 2.0 battery energy storage system (BESS) in Europe.
The company has shipped 66 units to the UK for the 100-MW/330-MWhe Bramley project, developed by British renewables and energy storage company Penso Power and investment firm BW Energy Storage Systems (BW ESS). The delivery comes about a year after Sungrow’s PowerTitan 2.0 liquid cooled energy storage system was selected for the project.
It was recently announced that BW ESS and Penso Power have signed a fixed-price tolling agreement for a term of seven years for the Bramley battery with Shell Energy Europe Ltd.
Sungrow says its energy storage system shipments exceeded 10.5 GWh in 2023. In March, the Chinese company held an event in Madrid to showcase the PowerTitan 2.0 product to European partners and industry representatives.
