SUNPURE Technology Co. Ltd. secured a contract with Larsen & Toubro (L&T) to supply cutting-edge robotic PV cleaning systems for the 805 MWp Ar Rass 1 solar PV Independent Power Plant (IPP) located in Al Qassim, KSA.
Sunpure will supply over 1500 PV cleaning robots that are specifically designed for arid climate, fully automated and waterless, reducing O&M efforts and conserving water.
Additionally, by integrating new technology of LoRaWAN, Sunpure’s PV cleaning system improves communication stability, integrates seamlessly with the single-axis tracking system, enhancing power generation, and lowering project’s LCOE.“In this collaboration, we see a remarkable opportunity to foster mutual understanding and drive innovation between L&T and Sunpure. This project is a part of KSA’s National Renewable Energy Program (NREP), scheduled to enter into commercial operation by 2024. Upon completion, it will be able to power approximately 132,000 households and offset 1.5 million tons of emissions annually.
