Technique Solaire group, a prominent independent producer of renewable energies committed to facilitating agricultural transition, has announced its international expansion through the acquisition of new “Ready-to-Build” projects in the Netherlands and Spain. These acquisitions will add 58MWp to the company’s project development pipeline, furthering its commitment to sustainable energy practices.
According to Thomas de Moussac, co-founder and Managing Director in charge of Development, and Vincent Griffon, Director of International Development, these acquisitions represent a significant stride toward Technique Solaire’s ambition of becoming a leading global energy company. They strengthen the group’s foothold in the Netherlands and Spain and contribute to its goal of reaching 4 GWp by 2030.
In the Netherlands, Technique Solaire is bolstering its presence with the acquisition of two “Ready-to-Build” photovoltaic projects in Gelderland province. With a total capacity of 26 MWp, these projects in Beuningen and Druten will collectively generate 26 GWh of renewable electricity annually, catering to the energy needs of nearly 20,000 local residents. Additionally, the group has launched its first floating photovoltaic solar plant in Limburg, further expanding its renewable energy portfolio.
Meanwhile, in Spain, Technique Solaire has completed the acquisition of eight photovoltaic plants in the Aragon region, with a combined capacity of 32 MWp. Scheduled for commissioning in early 2025, these plants will augment the group’s existing portfolio in Spain and contribute to its goal of achieving over 600 MWp of operational capacity by 2030.
To spearhead its expansion in Spain, Technique Solaire has appointed Ignacio Rebollo as Country Director. With his extensive expertise and knowledge of the Iberian Peninsula, Rebollo is poised to lead the development of new projects and accelerate the group’s growth in the region.
These developments reaffirm Technique Solaire’s pivotal role in the energy and agricultural transition, actively contributing to a more sustainable future.
