The Austrian company Verbund has finalized the acquisition of two interconnected photovoltaic projects in Lazio, Italy, with a combined capacity of 110 MW. This acquisition aligns with Verbund's strategy for geographic diversification.
The photovoltaic portfolio, sold by KE-Reinvestment—a Spanish holding company for Turkish investor Kinesis Enerji—consists of two projects nearing completion. These projects share a standard substation and are managed under a single project company.
Verbund noted that this new portfolio enhances its geographical reach with the projects near Rome. The terms of the purchase price remain undisclosed, and the deal was concluded on July 30, 2024.
