UK-based investment firm VH Global Energy Infrastructure plc (LON:ENRG) announced on Monday that it has successfully commissioned a hybrid solar and battery storage facility in New South Wales, Australia, delivering the project both on schedule and within budget.
In a filing to the stock exchange, the company said the project features a solar PV system paired with a 4.95-MW, two-hour, direct current-coupled battery energy storage system (BESS). The facility is currently undergoing a ramp-up phase in coordination with the local network operator.
VH Global also revealed plans to bring another hybrid project online in Q3 2025, which will expand its Australian portfolio to a total of 37 MW of generation capacity and 60 MWh of storage across seven sites located in New South Wales, Queensland, and South Australia.
