Voltalia SA, a leading French operator of renewable power plants, has been contracted by Italian renewable energy investor Green Arrow Capital to develop a major 135-MW solar photovoltaic (PV) park in southern Spain.
This significant project, which marks a milestone in Voltalia’s growing presence in Spain, will be located in the municipality of Sanlúcar la Mayor, within the region of Andalusia.
The agreement includes an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract along with a two-year Operation and Maintenance (O&M) agreement for the solar farm. Voltalia will oversee the construction and ongoing management of the plant, ensuring its smooth operation once completed.
The solar park, comprising 192,864 panels, will cover an area of 169 hectares (417.6 acres) and is slated to begin generating electricity by 2025.
Voltalia, which has been active in the Spanish market for over 15 years, currently manages 775 MW of assets for third-party clients in Spain.
