Polish e-commerce platform Allegro has signed a 10-year power purchase agreement with R.Power Renewables to receive over 200 GWh of green electricity annually. The deal, which runs from 2025 to 2035, is estimated to help Allegro mitigate nearly 150,000 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions. R.Power will supply the electricity from its solar photovoltaic parks, with the contracted power volume equivalent to the annual consumption of around 100,000 homes. Allegro is the first Polish e-commerce platform to align its climate goals with the 1.5-degree target, aiming to reduce emissions in its operations by 38% from 2021 levels. R.Power operates in several countries and has a capacity of 661 MWp in operation and under construction, with a development portfolio of 9.6 GWp.
