Azerbaijan and Vietnam Deepen Ties with Renewable Energy Cooperation Agreement

Ahead of the third session of the Intergovernmental Commission in Hanoi, Azerbaijan and Vietnam hosted the inaugural Azerbaijan–Vietnam Business Council and Business Forum, bringing together key government and private sector representatives from both nations.
The forum was attended by Nguyễn Hoàng Long, Vietnam’s Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, along with officials from Azerbaijan’s Export and Investment Promotion Agency, Small and Medium Business Development Agency, and Vietnam’s National Entrepreneurship Association (VINEN). Business leaders from both countries participated in the event, which aimed to strengthen bilateral economic ties and promote investment.
Azerbaijan’s Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov shared the news on social platform X , stating that entrepreneurs from both nations were encouraged to exchange information on the investment climates in Azerbaijan and Vietnam. Key sectors of interest included economic zones, industrial parks, high technology, agriculture, hydrocarbons, and renewable energy.

As part of the forum, five cooperation agreements were signed. Among them was a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on renewable energy cooperation between the State Agency on Renewable Energy Sources of Azerbaijan and Vietnam’s ROX Group JSC. The MoU highlights a growing commitment by both countries to collaborate on the development and deployment of clean energy technologies.
This agreement marks a significant step in strengthening Azerbaijan–Vietnam relations and advancing mutual efforts toward sustainable energy goals.
