Independent renewable power producer Clearvise AG has inked a development cooperation agreement for a portfolio of five ground-mounted PV projects in Europe.
The projects have an approved capacity of around 125MWp in Italy.
“With the conclusion of this 125 MWp clearPARTNERS development cooperation, we are opening up Italy as a new core market alongside Germany and France,” Clearvise chief executive Petra Leue-Bahns was quoted in a statement.
He further stated that the company is proud to have a cooperation with a developer which has years of experience in the development of Italian solar projects. The duo plans to work together to boost the Italian solar industry.
“This attractive pipeline therefore makes a significant contribution to our declared goal of producing half of our electricity from wind and solar, which is particularly important in terms of optimizing power purchase agreements (PPAs),” he further stated.
As per the company, the projects belong to regionally well-diversified portfolios which are in different stages of development. The portfolio covers four of the seven Italian electricity price zones.
The projects are likely to begin construction and commissioning in 2025/2026.
