Eden Renewables India signs 300MW power purchase agreement with SECI

In a significant stride toward a sustainable future, Eden Renewables India proudly announced the signing of a 300MW Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI). The company, sharing the momentous achievement on their official Linkedin page, revealed that the PPA stems from their triumphant bid in SECI’s 2 GW auction, where they offered an impressively competitive price of INR 2.60/kWh for the solar PV capacity.

The terms of the PPA empower Eden to develop the project on a build-own-operate basis, connecting it to the interstate transmission system (ISTS) and allowing flexibility in its location anywhere in India. The power procured through SECI’s initiative is slated to be distributed among various entities within the country.

Committed to quality and safety as top priorities, Eden Renewables India aims to increase its installed capacity to 2,200 MWp by early 2022. This strategic expansion aligns with India’s commitment made at the 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 21) to achieve 40% non-fossil fuel generation by 2030.
