Envision Energy, a global pioneer in green technology, has signed a groundbreaking green ammonia offtake agreement with Marubeni Corporation, one of Japan’s largest and most influential trading companies. This milestone deal marks a pivotal moment in establishing green ammonia as a commercially viable, scalable clean energy solution.
The collaboration leverages Envision Energy’s expertise in fully integrated green hydrogen-ammonia systems alongside Marubeni’s vast international trading infrastructure and deep energy market experience. Through this alliance, the two companies aim to fast-track the mass production, global supply, and commercialization of green ammonia, setting a new international benchmark for clean energy trade.
“The global energy sector is experiencing transformative shifts, with hydrogen and ammonia taking on increasingly vital roles,” said Frank Yu, Senior Vice President of Envision Energy. “By joining forces with Marubeni, we are accelerating the deployment of ammonia as a core energy carrier, enabling a transition to carbon-neutral fuels. This agreement lays the foundation for ammonia-powered transport and electricity generation, and supports the development of a cleaner, more sustainable global energy ecosystem.”
The agreement is expected to be instrumental in advancing decarbonization across industries such as chemicals and fertilizers, while supporting Japan’s green economic transition. It aligns with the country’s national sustainability objectives and is likely to stimulate further investment and technological innovation across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.
This partnership reinforces green ammonia’s role as a key enabler in the global movement toward sustainable energy, helping to drive cleaner industrial practices and facilitate cross-border renewable energy trade.
