ESB completes survey for 800MW Clogherhead Offshore Wind Project in Ireland



ESB has completed the necessary survey for its 800MW Clogherhead Offshore Wind Project in Ireland.

The company informed that it has concluded the geophysical and hydrographic survey of the project. This survey was undertaken by Alpha Marine, Ultrabeam Hydrographic and RPS.

Clogherhead Offshore Wind Farm is a joint venture between ESB and Parkwind.

The project is located off the coast of County Louth in Ireland. It is around 10km off the County Louth coast.

According to ESB, “the data collected will be an essential part of progressing the project design.”

Once it comes into the operation, the Clogherhead Offshore Wind Farm will be the second project co-developed by this partnership.

Earlier, the duo had worked in partnership to develop Oriel Wind Farm Project. This project is likely to commence construction in 2023.
