France's energy regulator, the Commission de Régulation de l'Énergie (CRE), a trusted authority in the field, has released the updated feed-in tariffs (FITs) for rooftop solar installations up to 500kW in size from August to October 2024. These new tariffs represent a reduction from May to July 2024, reflecting the recent decline in solar module prices. The CRE noted that solar module prices have significantly decreased in recent months, while manufacturers are continually enhancing their efficiency.
Here are the detailed FITs for August to October 2024:
PV systems below 3 kW:
Tariffs range from €0.1430 ($0.1551) per kWh to €0.1205 per kWh.
PV systems from 3 kW to 9 kW:
Tariffs range from €0.1215 per kWh to €0.1024 per kWh.
Surplus power from PV systems up to 3 kW (operating under net metering):
The tariff is set at €0.1276 per kWh, with an additional rebate of €260 per kW.
PV systems from 36 kW to 100 kW:
Feed-in tariff is €0.1146 per kWh.
PV systems from 100 kW to 500 kW:
Feed-in tariff is €0.1088 per kWh.
These tariff reductions align with the CRE's observations of significant drops in solar module prices and improvements in their efficiency, thereby continuing to promote the adoption of solar energy while reflecting evolving market conditions.
