In August 2025, Germany’s residential energy storage sector saw robust growth, with new installations reaching 278 MW / 447 MWh. This represents month-over-month increases of 9.9% in power and 10.1% in capacity, underscoring the steady recovery of the market.
The number of new residential storage projects rose to approximately 56,800 units, marking a month-over-month increase of 8.2%.
Since the beginning of this year, residential installations in Germany have continued to climb, hitting a new high in August — driven by multiple factors including summer heatwaves, rising electricity prices, declining storage system costs, and the restart of subsidy programs.
This sustained momentum highlights the growing demand for residential energy storage solutions in Germany, as households seek greater energy independence and resilience in response to market and policy signals.
