PT Ineco Solar Solutions (Inecosolar), a subsidiary of Yinson Renewables, has joined forces with PT Finusolprima Farma Internasional (Finusolprima), a significant entity within Indonesia’s leading pharmaceutical company, PT Kalbe Farma Tbk. The collaboration aims to implement a cutting-edge 264 kWp rooftops solar photovoltaic (PV) solution at Finusolprima’s factory in Bekasi.
This strategic alliance underscores Inecosolar’s prominent role as a leading provider of Energy as a Service (EaaS) and Finusolprima’s unwavering commitment to environmental stewardship within the pharmaceutical industry.
Upon completion, the solar PV system is poised to prevent approximately 250 tonnes of carbon emissions annually, accounting for roughly 5% of the factory’s electricity requirements. The project aligns with Finusolprima’s dedication to enhancing its environmental footprint, solidifying its position as an industry leader committed to sustainable and responsible business practices.
Managing Director of Inecosolar, Mr. Benoît Prim, expressed enthusiasm about contributing to Indonesia’s renewable energy goals, stating, “At Inecosolar, we are passionate about helping businesses and communities in Indonesia lower their carbon footprint. This collaboration is a significant milestone for us, offering Finusolprima a comprehensive energy-as-a-service package without any upfront cost.”
This initiative marks Inecosolar’s second rooftop solar PV project, following a previous venture signed in September 2023 with Lazada Indonesia. The Lazada project, located in Cimanggis, West Java, is nearing completion and is expected to generate over 555 MWh per year, with an estimated 400 tonnes of carbon emissions avoided. The successful implementation of these projects reinforces Inecosolar’s commitment to advancing sustainable energy solutions in Indonesia.
