Lynher Energy, a joint venture between UK renewables firm Ethical Power and alternative asset manager Napier Park Global Capital, has placed the output from its 27MW Twitch Hill solar farm in England under a power purchase agreement (PPA) with a corporate off-taker.
A press release from Lynher Energy said that the joint venture struck a sleeved physical PPA with a UK-based FTSE100 company to secure predictable cash flows for the project. The unnamed company will off-take 100% of the output from Twitch Hill for 15 years, Lynher Energy said.
Lynher acquired the Twitch Hill development in April 2023 and secured financing for this and other projects later that year.
The Twitch Hill solar farm will cover an area spanning 36 hectares (89 acres) of unutilised grade 3b land in Shropshire. Construction of the plant has already started and Lynher expects to bring it online in September 2024.
Ethical Power serves as the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor on this project, and will also provide operation and maintenance (O&M) services post-commissioning.
