DayOne Data Centers, a global leader in digital infrastructure solutions, has signed a landmark Corporate Renewable Energy Supply Scheme (CRESS) agreement with Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), one of Asia’s foremost utility providers.
The agreement grants DayOne access to up to 500 megawatts (MW) of renewable energy over a 21-year period, supporting the company's data center operations across Malaysia. With this move, DayOne becomes the first enterprise to enter into a Bilateral Energy Supply Contract (BESC) under Malaysia’s CRESS framework, marking a significant step toward large-scale corporate adoption of green energy within the country.
The renewable energy supply will be underpinned by new solar power capacity to be developed and managed by TNB Renewables, a wholly owned subsidiary of TNB.
DayOne currently operates two hyperscale data center campuses in Malaysia—Nusajaya Tech Park (NTP) and Kempas Tech Park (KTP)—both of which are set to benefit from this long-term commitment to sustainable power.
