Neoen secures 104MW of solar projects in Europe

Neoen has been awarded over 104MW of solar projects in Europe. It won the awards in the latest call of the Energy Regulation Commission (CRE) in France.

As per the company, the four power projects range from 14.4MW to 30MW. The solar plants are planned to be commissioned between 2025 and 2028.

The photovoltaic plants are likely to produce the annual electricity consumption of around 50,000 people once they come into operation.

According to Neoen, it will develop a 14.4MW solar farm in Geloux. The three other projects are agrivoltaic parks with solar power generation.

The company shared that the 30MW Brisanne solar farm in Mayenne is one of the first agrisolar schemes in the department. Similarly, another one 30MW is Villegongis project.

The next project is 30MW Rechicourt-le-Château located in Moselle.

French development director of Neoen Guillaume Decaen was quoted in a statement, “This latest achievement testifies to the quality of our projects and, more especially, to the relevance of our agrivoltaic model developed since 2017.”

He further added, “This is a record for Neoen in France, and it is most certainly a record in France for an independent developer. We intend to continue our winning ways in the coming years.”

The company has already secured half a gigawatt in French government tenders this year alone.
