Düsseldorf-based energy group Eon is expanding its photovoltaic business in Germany by acquiring two companies. As announced by Eon Energie, these are the Gütersloh company GT-Solar and Energetik Solartechnologie. “We want to get more people and companies excited about renewable energy,” said Philipp Klenner, head of photovoltaics at Eon Germany Management. "An important prerequisite for achieving this is strong regional partnerships and reliable supply of the necessary components. We therefore look forward to the dedicated teams and expertise of GT-Solar and Energetik Solartechnologie in their respective fields."
Alexander Wiebe and Tobias Krause, joint managing directors of both companies in Gütersloh, have many years of expertise in the photovoltaic field. They explain: "GT Solar and Energys has grown successfully over the past 20-plus years. We are proud to continue on this path with Eon in the future."
