Levanta Renewables Secures ₱6.2 Billion Financing for Iloilo Solar-Plus-Storage Project
Singapore-based Levanta Renewables has reached financial close on its 166MWp Barotac Viejo solar project in Iloilo, securing ₱6.215 billion in financing through a co-financing package with Philippine National Bank (PNB).

The project will combine a 166MWp solar PV facility with an 80MWh battery energy storage system, with commercial operations targeted for the second quarter of 2027.
Once operational, the project is expected to add new renewable energy capacity to the Visayas grid while using battery storage to support a more reliable and flexible power supply.
The financing was arranged with participation from PNB Capital and Investment Corporation, PNB’s investment banking arm. The financial close marks a significant milestone in the development of the project and reflects growing financial support for renewable energy infrastructure in the Philippines.
The Barotac Viejo project also demonstrates the increasing role of solar-plus-storage solutions in the country’s energy transition, combining new renewable generation with energy storage to strengthen grid reliability and energy security.
