SUSI Partners is all set to develop two large-scale, hybrid solar PV and battery storage projects in Chile.
The company will work through the SUSI Energy Transition Fund, in partnership with Chilean clean energy developer BIWO Renovables.
It has been informed that the projects will have a combined generation capacity of 232MWp, while the battery storage capacity will be up to 900MWh.
The two designated projects are located in the Santiago metropolitan area in Chile. The projects are likely to start construction in 2025.
According to the companies, “the transaction expands on an existing framework agreement between SUSI and BIWO for the development, construction, and operation of distributed solar PV and wind assets.”
Under the agreement, BIWO will handle the development, construction, and operation of projects while SUSI is responsible for battery storage business case.
The latest development is followed after the duo entered into a recent partnership securing project debt financing for a 107MW distributed solar PV portfolio.
