
TotalEnergies and Soltec are all set to develop a 200MW project in southern Spain.
The duo has already received construction authorisation for the Luminora Solar Dos project located in Murcia.
It has been informed that the project will consists of 337,174 bifacial photovoltaic modules and 5341 solar trackers. Both of these will be supplied by Soltec.
Yago Mancebo, General Manager of TotalEnergies Renewables Spain, was quoted in a statement, “Obtaining the construction permit for this project is a major step forward that will allow us to contribute both to the decarbonisation of the environment and to the development of local economies, all while ensuring the protection of the biodiversity of the surrounding area. We are very proud to continue working to make our region a more sustainable place while contributing to its economic growth.”
The project has planned to enter construction in 2024.

Meanwhile, the company has also launched a pioneering initiative in Europe for generating the scientific knowledge to minimise the impact of solar generation on the environment.
