Vibra, Brazil's largest fuel and lubricant distributor, has completed the acquisition of Comerc Energia, a local energy company, expanding its portfolio by adding 2.1 GW of solar and wind capacity.
This strategic acquisition strengthens Vibra's position as Brazil's largest multi-energy platform. Comerc’s assets include eight large-scale solar parks totaling 1.54 GW, three wind farms with a combined capacity of 280 MW, and over 95 distributed solar plants.
Vibra anticipates significant synergies from the deal, estimating BRL 1.4 billion (USD 231.3 million / EUR 223.3 million) in financial, operational, and fiscal efficiencies. The complementary nature of the two companies’ portfolios will also open new business opportunities and enable cross-selling between Vibra’s conventional energy offerings and Comerc’s renewable energy solutions.
Clarissa Sadock will serve as Comerc's CEO following the acquisition.
