Voltalia has sold a 420MW solar project to Newave Energia in Brazil.
Besides the sale of project, Voltalia will also handle the construction and maintenance of the electrical infrastructures.
According to Newave Energia, which is a partnership between Gerdau and Newave FIP, it has already acquired ready-to-build solar developments.
The 420MW project is located in the state of Minas Gerais in the south-eastern region of Brazil. It has been informed that the total potential capacity of Arinos complex is more than 1.8GW fully developed by Voltalia.
Chief executive of Voltalia Sébastien Clerc was quoted in a statement, "The success of the Arinos complex demonstrates our ability to develop high-quality sites. This developer capability feeds into our portfolio of sites to be built on our behalf, while enabling our partners to contribute to the growth of renewable energy.”
As per Voltalia, it plans to sell more than 100MW of projects by the end of the year in Brazil and other countries. It will also provide construction and maintenance services.
