Atlas Renewable Energy has completed acquisition of a 378MW wind project in Brazil.
The company acquired development rights to the Juramento project from Voltalia. The wind project is located in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais.
It has been informed that the project will be using 63 wind turbines. The project is said to have been open to any offtakers seeking renewable power in Brazil.
The Juramento wind project will be generating 1650 gigawatt-hours power annually.
This is not the first wind project of Atlas. Earlier, it had signed a power purchase agreement with Enel Energía Chile for the development of the 417MW Alpaca wind portfolio.
"With Juramento we continue to expand and diversify our product offering across all the regions where we operate," Luis Pita, general manager for Atlas Renewable Energy in Brazil, commented.
He further stated, "This project is currently available for any large energy consumer looking for a PPA to transition from conventional sources of energy to renewable."
