CORNEX Secures Strategic Partnership in Australia, Showcasing 588Ah Battery Technology and M6 Energy Storage System
Australia, October 28, 2026 — CORNEX New Energy has secured a new overseas order in Australia, marking another milestone in its international expansion. The company officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Leistung Energie Group during ALL ENERGY AUSTRALIA 2026, further strengthening its presence in the Australian energy storage market.
Under the agreement, CORNEX will provide its M5 APEX and M6 battery prefabricated cabin systems to support its local partner's channel development and project deployment in Australia.
A key highlight of the cooperation is CORNEX's M6 energy storage system, which features the company's self-developed 588Ah battery cells and a Cell-to-Pack (CTP) long-module design. The system delivers a rated capacity of 6.26 MWh and is designed to improve installation efficiency while optimizing project economics.
Key technical features of the M6 system include:
6.26 MWh rated capacity, supporting large-scale energy storage applications.
50% higher cabinet loading efficiency, maximizing system integration.
33% improvement in land-use efficiency for 100 MWh projects.
20% reduction in container requirements, helping optimize project deployment.
Advanced thermal management, maintaining operating temperatures at or below 35°C.
IP55 protection and C5-H anti-corrosion coating, designed for demanding operating environments.
Operating noise levels below 65 dB.
Compatibility with both centralized and string Power Conversion System (PCS) architectures.
Beyond utility-scale energy storage, CORNEX also offers battery cells for residential energy storage applications, with capacities of 100Ah, 120Ah and 314Ah.
To support the development and delivery of its 588Ah battery cells and M6 energy storage systems, CORNEX has established a 200 GWh production capacity layout, reinforcing its manufacturing capabilities and ability to serve growing global demand.
According to the company, CORNEX ranked among the top three global energy storage battery suppliers by shipments in the first three quarters of 2026, with new orders exceeding 185 GWh during the same period.
As Australia continues to expand its energy storage infrastructure and integrate more renewable energy into its power system, the partnership between CORNEX and Leistung Energie Group represents another step in bringing advanced battery technologies and energy storage solutions to the Australian market.
