In a recent statement, Eurus Energy confirmed that the project is being developed through its local subsidiary, Hajang 5 Wind Power Co., Ltd.. Once completed, it will become the company’s fifth operational wind farm in South Korea.
Located in the plateau cities of Taebaek and Samcheok in the southern region of Gangwon-do, the new wind farm builds upon Eurus Energy’s established presence in the area. The group already operates Samsu Wind Power and Gowon Wind Power projects in Taebaek.
The Hajang 5 Wind Power plant is scheduled to begin commercial operation in November 2026. Upon completion, it is expected to supply clean electricity to approximately 13,000 average households in South Korea, while contributing to the reduction of around 20,000 tons of carbon emissions annually.
The project highlights Eurus Energy’s ongoing commitment to supporting South Korea’s renewable energy goals and reinforces the company’s growing footprint in the Asian wind power sector.
